Scales Of Trade:
A nomadic collector of rarities, Scales travels the roads between Windhelm, Whiterun, Morthal, and Solitude, always searching for the next unique treasure. No matter where his journey leads, one thing remains certain: you'll find some of the finest tailoring in Skyrim. If you can't spot him, check the cabbage cart—it's his natural camouflage. #SafetyInCabbages
My ABSOLUTE favorite Argonian to bump into and have a conversation with. He donated several of the expensive fine clothing and most of the rarer/harder to find items as well. THANK YOU Scales!
Tug'ma Grobag:
An incredible tailor with a keen eye for fashion. He is eager to help all citizens of Skyrim look their very best. He is currently an ambassador to Falkreath and if you can't find Him there, He frequents Windhelm and Whiterun Holds.
Tug'ma sold me 1 of every fine clothes at cost and modeled all of the linen capes/quicksilver made items. This saved me so much time and money. Without His generocity I doubt I would have finished this catalog in time. Thank You Tug'ma Grobag.
When an old traveler like myself wanders the roads of Skyrim for as long as I have, his heart tends to grow as calloused as his hands. You see enough greed, enough cold Jarls sitting on high thrones oblivious to the shivering peasants outside their walls, that you begin to lose faith. But then, the winds of fate blew me into the Barony of Rorikstead, and I found a warmth I thought had long since vanished from Skyrim.
I have never in all my winters seen rulers quite like Baron Jorik and Ji'ji. They are leaders of rare kindness and immense generosity, caring more for the souls under their protection than any title or chest of gold.
To understand their hearts, one need only look at what happened when a terrible plague struck down two of their citizens. A typical Jarl would have locked them away or replaced them without a second thought. Not Jorik and Ji'ji. They personally undertook the long, treacherous journey to the College of Winterhold, seeking the high arcana of the mages to cure their men. They did not simply send them off; they stayed by their bedsides, watching over them until the fever broke. It was a display of pure devotion that deeply inspired this old tailor, and it is a tale that deserves to be woven into the history of these lands. I must also speak of the incredible militia and the common folk of the barony. For a strange old man who arrived out of nowhere with nothing but a satchel of thread, I expected suspicion. Instead, I found open arms. The militia kept me safe from the perils of the roads, and the citizens helped me along my way with an unmatched spirit of acceptance and friendship. They are a shield against the darkness, not just in arms, but in character.
Ji'ji Donated many of the expensive fine clothes and more tundra cotton than one can imagine. Baron Jorik Roriksson allowed me to use a protected storage chest for many weeks free of charge. You're kindness and generocity is the only reason this catalog was possible. Thank you both so much.
If you ever find yourself wandering the harsh roads of Skyrim, if you feel lost, or if you simply need a community of truly good people to be around, look no further than the Barony of Rorikstead. There is still light in this world, my friends, and much of it shines right there in that small town.
Vesper:
If you frequent the cold stone streets of Windhelm or the bustling markets of Whiterun, you’ve likely crossed paths with Vesper. Her sharp eye for detail identified boots and shoes that alter their style between male and female fits that I was missing in the catalog. She also stepped up to personally model the missing footwear and Dunmer clothing. Thanks to her, this collection is even closer to being complete. When she isn't modeling for the catalog, Vesper can usually be found around Whiterun or Windhelm, where she currently focuses on trading and selling the most magnificent Dunmer garments.
She is also an AMAZING artist and painted this portrait of me. If you love it and would like a portrait of your own, you can find her in the Windhelm Loom Room. But hurry—her schedule is filling up fast!
THANK YOU VESPER!
I would like to offer my deepest thanks to Thane Kit’ra Fernwind, leader of the North Star Rangers, for her remarkable generosity and support.
When I set out to create this collection, i found myself in need of a great deal of fine leather. Thane Kit’ra was kind enough to provide what i needed at an exceptionally fair price.
But this was more than simply a fair trade.
The North Star Rangers have made it their mission to aid those in need, protect the lands of Skyrim, and safeguard the creatures that call those lands home. Under Thane Kit’ra's leadership, they strive to live by a simple promise: “We are the guiding light.”
And in this instance, that light shone upon Gideon’s Closet.
So, thank you, Thane Kit’ra Fernwind, for your generosity, your kindness, and for helping me bring this work to life.
Gideon’s Closet proudly salutes the North Star Rangers.
